Re: Mystery Plane
Connie lands in Greenwood Lakes NJ and is still there. (4N1) Per the website: Lockheed Constellation Arrives at Greenwood Lake Airport This video comes from the original super 8 film taken in 1977. The original belongs to Phil Preston, not sure if his father or he filmed it. At the time, I believe t...

Re: Sun and Fun
here is one list I think was from the EAA website: Based on a review of photos from a variety of sources, including a slideshow posted by EAA Multimedia reporter Brady Lane, we can share this list of damaged aircraft with you. It is by no means complete, but it does represent a significant number of...

Re: Look out Del! part two
Five inches of light and fluffy in three hours here. Just no place to put it. Piles are astronomical. Both the field where my 170 is and the one with my Champ have have both stopped plowing - no place to put the snow and the banks are to high. The cost to plow for the few based planes that fly this ...

Re: Securing rudder when tied down outside
I have the same control lock - it is easy to use and it is great with the elevator and aerolons. After putting it on go walk to the tail and try to move the rudder left and right. I think you will be adding a twine rudder holder as the control lock does not stop the wind from beating the rudder to d...

Used to have a 170A based at Westboro MA years ago with number N1D. Heard the plane was sold a about five years ago
and the number was sold separately for 20K. Know they were sold separately but don't know for sure the final price.

Re: FAA Registration Errors
Just bought a champ. It was converted from a 7AC to a 7DC with all the paperwork. All regrestrations sense conversion have said 7AC/Conv 7DC and it has an 85 engine. Shows as a 7AC with a 65/75 engine. I wonder if it is entered as it came from factory or if they just don't care. It flies great so I ...

Re: VFR-IFR Questions
I tell people that the instrument rating improves many aspects of your general flying skills and is a cheap insurance policy even if you only fly VFR. You usually improve your radio communications skills, learn a lot more about the capabilities of the electronics in your plane, learn more about the ...

George, Keeping in mind that Massachusetts is a very liberal state and has some different tourist spots, some very near Kyle in Truro, you may want to consider a weekend up here for a change of pace. Found this in the AOPA local calendar of events for this weekend.
