Looks like great fun, a 170 in its natural environment.

There’s some good looking country west of Longview and east of Madras that looks like it would be fun for this.

looks like fun, what was the transition like with winds going off the edge? Guessing there could be a bit of upslope to help you on the way down?

This is all about making it look dramatic, but in reality, the airplane was ready to fly before the edge. At the edge I pickup up a 15kt updraft that would have caused me to climb quite a bit, if I didn't push over.

I have some "better" site lined up where I will be able to get a nice straight, smooth approach to a shear drop, that I will depart from at lower and lower airspeed to see what is really safely, capable.
