Why you don't want solid fabric wing covers

This is not a gull wing Citabria. The leading and trailing edges are getting abused by solid covers in the wind. Mesh covers don't provide quite as much protection from ice and anow but they don't damage the wings nearly as much as solid covers when the wind picks up.

Looks like to me he doesn't have the 6 (3 on each wing ) " over the top " straps to hold the covers down so there is no back and forth chafing . Just a thought , the ButchPilot !

It seems they're attached, and is pulling on the trailing edges.
