New Backcountry Airplane

Post by funseventy »

Please take time to head to the website for the new airplane from Idaho. I have been a part of this project for 3 years and we are within 10 of first flight and there are a few shots of a 170 on the website if you look close.

Sounds like a great airplane, but where are the pictures of it? The graphic on the home page looks like a Cessna Caravan.

We are really close to flying and we have done a good job of not promising what we don't know. Price and performance are no nos until we fly and know hard facts. The images of the airplane are only sketches until we fly as well. It gives us room to update it for interest. Each of the locals are specific to a design criteria and there are 3 pages at each location. People perspective, Pilot perspective, and the Kodiak Response! It is fun. We are promising that we will fly the airplane into these places; look for that next spring. It resembles a Caravan because it is 10 seats, high wing, turbine, with tri-cycle gear. With that criteria it's hard not to look like a Caravan. It is in the small details that you see the good stuff.
