Chartreuse
This has been bugging me for a long time...
But does anyone have any pictures of a 1955 B model carrying the original chartreuse trim, or a sample of what the color was? There are some pretty broad variations of chartreuse (between chartreuse-green and chartreuse-yellow) and if it's what I think it may be, a chartreuse 170 would be a wild-looking machine.
Guessing Cessna never made many of them, and I've only seen mention of one that originally carried that trim color; having since been repainted.

I think you can infer the answer to your original question from that...Ryan Smith wrote:Hell of an echo in here...

I was born 50 years too late.

Would my Male Hormones allow me to have a " Chartreuse" airplane ? I think Not. I saw a Pink Comanche parked on the ramp one day, I prayed it belonged to a cute girl.

Your membership has always been suspect.
I'd love to have an original Chartreuse-trimmed '55, totally restored to be like Rusty Morris', with an Avcon conversion. Don't ask why on the engine conversion preference...even I couldn't tell you.
Time to start playing the lottery again. I need one of every kind/color 170 made.
