YouTube & The Cessna 170

Post by AGB »

Hello all,
There are already quite a few Cessna 170 videos on the YouTube. Perhaps we could post here the more interesting ones.

My pick is this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUkaSgDD9TM
or type: "Cessna 170B Lands on Main Street"

Remember that we need goggles and that 'its only a two seat...'

Good flying,
Donovan

I posted that after finding out that the 170b in the video is my 170b! This was before we owned it. Pretty cool, though. I am still looking for the appropriate pair of flying goggles. :D

What engine is in that 170 (single exhaust & no cowling bumps) an IO-360 Continental or an O-320 Lycoming?

Pokey,
I noticed the same thing.... but you beat me to the call. After looking at the clip again .... It's a lycoming (push rod tubes on top) There is "bumps" just ahead of the "Swan Song" embliem but seem to be in the wrong place.....Brad

It's the 0360 lycoming avconn conversion. The bumps are there in the clip, they're just hard to see.

Here's a video which was beautifully done by Don Lynn back in 2011. Gorgeous plane.

Not sure why you say "prop abuse". That is much better than the amount of water that goes through a prop with a typical float plane landing or takeoff. But it is only typing, so you may just be adding a humorous comment.
