Thanks George, now if I can just get her home. The weather has just not cooperated this week, if it doesn't happen by next Wednesday it will likely be the end of January. There's not much I can do about the weather or schedules, but MAN the frustration level is building! :(

Then you met Vernon. Great guy. He flew this one to Mena a few weeks ago. I think I wiped all my fingerprints off :D

Vernon is definitely a great guy! As best as I can tell this aircraft is everything he advertised it to be, and maybe even more. Looking forward to getting it home... maybe Tuesday.

After several frustrating days of poor weather conditions, and with the help of some very good friends, I finally got 21C home and in its hangar. It was a beautiful day for the trip with a tailwind that resulted in better that 170 statute mph ground speed for much of the trip, 176 mph at times. All in all, one of the best days I've had in quite a while.

Hey Bill,
Congrats on getting your plane home safely and glad it was a good flight. Tailwinds always lift the spirits.

If you ever get down to Wetumpka, 08A, say hi to my buddy Dave Ramsey, he has the last hangar on the west end of the airport. Great guy and he has a C-140, among lots of other cool stuff in his hangar.

Congrats on the new plane Bill!

Small world... I have family in Wetumpka... an Aunt and several cousins. I keep saying I'm going to fly down for a visit. Maybe we should have a fly-in. :D

Bill,

Congrats!!! Welcome back from another alabama native. I'm at KDCU Decatur. Frequently fly to lunch at KCMD to "the Prop" diner located on the field. Great place to take that grandson of yours for a hamburger.

All the best,

Regards,

Patrick

Hi, and Thanks!
I was wondering if the diner was still open at Cullman, we'll have to try that out soon! Hope to make it to the breakfast at Moontown soon if weather and my schedule will cooperate.
