Desire Simple Strobe Light

Post by MoonlightVFR »

Decades ago I purchased a very Simple Strobe light from Trade A Plane - took it to the AP/IA for install.

He balked, I persisted he installed.
Enjoyed the simplest strobe light installed bottom fuselage for years.

It died, AP was right. Some component died from lack of use.

Now I again want a very simple single strobe light. Thinking there is innovative entrepreneurs working the LEDs and offering a simple solution. Nothing
Read Air Craft Spruce catalog; Googled. Impasse.

Very open to suggestions.

Under-used strobes die when their capacitors dry out from lack of use. Get your local electronic handyman shop to replace the capacitor(s).

Use your strobes regularly, even if all you do is go out to the hangar to the airplane that hasn't flown in 3 months and run the strobes for 15 minutes and recharge the ship's main battery. You can do that simultaneously.

An originality nut (mostly) for the right reasons. ;)
