New starter, new starter adapter, new cables, added a ground to engine block, and it's still not
turning it over well. I am going to take it to the recyclers soon.

That does sound right... I guess I need the adapter.

Ok, now I am really lost. All new wires and I have the same result. Tried jump starting from my truck and starter spins faster/harder but minimal rotation. I am wondering if it can be in the angle drive like George said. Possibly a spring in there or something?
