Re: Possible Sirius-XM bankruptcy

You sure hit a topic that has been on my mind the past few days. I should know the answer but I have not prepared myself. I ALWAYS have a plan "B". This time I do not. Does anyone know of a satellite weather service out there comparable to XM Aviation weather - I have come to use it alot p...

Re: 1953 Flight Training video

George,

I try to refrain from being a total Bu_t head but..... when I find an opening I have to take it --- Could you tell me (us) what color socks you were wearing that day? Also what was the length of your hair? Just curious :?:

Wishing you and yours a festive and safe 2009

Re: Cataract Surgery

Bruce, That was an awesom eresponse, completer with a link to the paper work. As I type the form is printing. Your post has relieved a lot of angst. The DR. I have has been around town for many years and has a great reputation. Its the thought of someone carving on my eyeball with a scalpel. After a...

Cataract Surgery

Open question to 170 group -- just diagnosed with mild cataract conditon, stronger in one eye than the other - with the modern advancements in medicine this procedure is a relatively quick in and out ( about 1/2hr) with rapid return to "normal" vision. The procedure is a removal of cornea ...

Re: McMinville NWAAC

Here is the full length photo - camping was awesome - toilet facitlites were plentiful and there are a permanent men's and women's showers near the FBO. A visit to the nearby town of McMinville is pleasant - wine, hazelnuts, cranberries of all varieties are available

McMinville NWAAC

Just got back from three glorious days camping and seeing the sites at the 49th Northwest Antique Airplane Club at McMinnville, Oregon (KMMV). The heat and the the price on Av fuel cut the attendance down somewhat from that of last year but still a lot of fine aircraft to look at and super nice peop...

Fire Extinguishers

I thougth I would run this one up the flagpole - I would like input on where you have installed your f/e. I have a 1955 170B with the original seats since covered a couple of times but look as I may I have not discovered a convenient location for a f/e that is NOT in the way of normal ops and would ...

Re: Satellite tracking gizmo for safety

Well these posts came at a good time. I was going to be getting one of these for my long xcountry trip coming up (4,000+ miles) but I also share concerns about infiltration either by accident or wilful attemps. Seems to me when in the design stage that this would have been an obvious feature to prog...

I happen to be one of those using the "little dot" It has not changed color and they are "good" for 90 days after opening the sealed wrapper. I cannot comment one way or another on the accuracy as I have never had a case of excessive CO at least no symptoms. One of the very first...

Geez - your tach (at least the face) looks indentical to the one I just removed from my 1955 B model. Look as we may we did not find a model number.
