Re: Beware of Public Impressions

When we lived in Tennessee, I rented a hanger at Eagleville. The hanger was across the road from the run way. I would get alot of strange looks when I was waiting for traffic to clear and even had state and county police wave when they went by. It was a state highway and no one seemed to care. Also,...

MA3SPA Bowl Leak

I noticed a very small leak from the bottom of my 48 170 Carb and I found a small crack at the Bowl Drain. The tapered plug will open the crack and allow the leak. It probably has been over torqued. Does anyone have a bottom half "bowl" that I could purchase or is anyone aware of a way to ...

EAA membership

I always read and seldom reply. I renewed my AOPA membership after 9/11 after letting it lapse for several years. If we hope to be flying for years to come,we had better belong to strong organizations looking out for our interests. EAA also looks out for us at a lesser extent. I can take or leave th...

Polishing an aluminum airplane

Thanks. I am using F7 with the Porter Cable and then follow up aith the C and then the S for the first polish of the year. Touch ups are S unless there are heavy fingerprints, then I'll use C first. Use very little polish. The cotton I use on the Porter Cable is 100% cotton from Wally World for abou...

Polishing an Aluminum Airplane

Nuvite works very well. I use a Porter Cable random orbital with 100% cotton wrapped over it.

Original gust lock

Russ:
I have one that I received with the airplane 12 years ago and I can measure it if you still need the length.
Please email me at fly170@bellsouth.net.
I do not have the attachment that mounts on the floor.

The......New....United Air Line

The airlines and cost cutting mentality is just the beginning for several of us. It is a very sad day when pension plans go to the government to pay out at pennies on the dollar. I am very afraid that this will be the trend. What the airlines are going through is the same as what the US auto compani...
