Re: Headset Reviews
My bride does not like over the ear headsets. She will start out with it on and I’ll say something ...no answer ...I’ll look over and the headset is in her lap! I got her one of the Halo headsets and she actually likes it. So far she has worn it thru the whole flight every time and usually answers w...

Re: uAvionix AV-30-C
Thanks for all your comments guys. I haven’t pulled the trigger yet but I think this is the way I want to go. Brian tell your A&P folks are waiting for your comments after you actually fly the new install. I’m sure that will speed things up! Larry, beautiful work on the overlay and thanks ...

uAvionix AV-30-C
Still haven’t done anything about ADSB out as I was waiting for the tail beacon to be certified and about the time that happened I started seeing info about the tail beacon-X in the pipeline. Really need the AV-30 to control the transponder and I rather liked the idea of replacing the 40 year old at...

Re: Securing rudder when tied down outside
Now you just have to figure out how to convert the 170 from a control wheel to a stick. That would be a cool STC! I find aircraft with Sticks much harder to enter/ egress and love the 170 for their ease of doing both. Flying a Cub/ Super Cub/ Champ are fun but getting in/ out is gymnastics. I'm too...

Re: Bronze flakes in oil after cylinder replacement
Pat When I started running my freshly overhauled engine with six new superior cylinders we changed the oil at slightly over 2 hours chasing an oil pressure problem and it was producing a scary amount of shiny bronze flakes. Consulted three different engine builders who all said to run a little more ...

Pretty sure it’s dropped below zero a couple of times in my 68 years but I don’t remember when.

Re: oil filter adapter SB
My answer to the 1” square socket problem. 1” to 3/4” adapter with a 12 point 7/8” socket stuck on the square 3/4” male end. Glad to have the SB done, although mine had never leaked with the fiber gasket. Paul, you have a 1" to 3/4" adapter you must work on Kubota Tractors. Strangely enou...

A cheap bottle jack about the same $ in steel and several hours labor. Wheels are what I found in my junk.

Brian I installed an EI 6 probe EGT/CHT during annual this year and my experiences parallel yours. I have been contemplating the extra baffles.

Good job on that jig! Drilling holes on round stuff is always a challenge for me.
