Finally removed the complete empenage to replace the rudder cables and tailwheel cables for broken wires and corrrosion. Little bit of surface corrosion down in the hole but for 58 yrs it all looked pretty good, EXCEPT..... Found 2 small cracks in the aft bulkhead in the lower right bolt hole where ...

Your tips looks just like my tips on my 170B with the Horton Stol kit. Sorry, I haven't figured out to post a picture.

Does anyone in the Houston area have a CFI and a C170 that I can do a checkout in to satisfy insurance requirements? I have 425 hrs tailwheel time but still need a checkout to make the insurance folks happy before I bring my new bird home. If so send me a PM please.
