Re: Day's Maybe Numbered

When I get the wings back on the Champ, it's going in the same hanger as the 172TD, on a lift. I think the Champs going on top. And if they don't get along, they both get baths every Saturday

Re: Voltage Regulator

I do like the Zeftronic VR. Unfortunately I had some minor issues, but they were cleared up. Tech support was excellent. But, just for a 'heads-up', grounding seems to be the root of most electrical problems. Our planes are 50+ years old. It's not a bad idea to spend a little time cleaning the groun...

Re: Voltage Regulator

My advice if I was to replace a voltage regulator is to buy the electronic model available from Zeftronics. I've never heard of someone not happy with theirs. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/zeftronicsreg.php Bruce, You're going to hear it now! My Zeftronic VR would shut-off after a c...

Re: Aircraft Re-Registration Requirements

My dad bought his Champ the year I was born. (50's) :| Got his solo ticket and that was it! For years and years we had the best times of our lives! I think he was a major factor as to why we have laws now! 8O Knew of many others, then and now, that may not be quite 100% legal. Doesn't make them bad ...

Re: Myricks Fly-In

Yeah, it was a GREAT DAY (week-end) for flying. I wasn't the camera man with this, too busy chattin'! And my straight tail was there after the red & white Mooney shots. (I usually hide it in case someone from the Association shows up!) The Champ is still in the shop being 'fitted'! Myricks is on...

BeeMan, Great point! Surely that 'V' brace adds alot of strength in that area. I've been to Alaska and have seen what you guys up there have to deal with. It's ROUGH, ROUGH, and more ROUGH. My hat's off to you. You're in a class of your own! But for us 'flat-landers', most of that 'bridge-work' isn'...
