Re: Gear legs again?
Just wondering, do you all remove and magnaflux your gear legs each annual? if not, how do you know that there are no new cracks in your gear leg just waiting for that next landing? I wonder how soon the FAA will require that each year to keep the lawyers happy. Remember..... the FAA is not happy un...

Re: Gear legs again?
Tim,
Too damn many lawyers , too damn many FAA officials to sign off of 432 times for PMA approval for that to ever happen!
So in the mean time we all fly with 60 year old gear legs that are one landing away from disaster!

Re: Performance Flowmatch Cylinders
For God's sake......... you have 7 to 1 compression ratio, NOTHING will help the c-145/ 0300 make power.
At best it only makes 130 -135 HP at take off and cruise, it only makes 145 @2700, if it will rev that high.

Re: DATA NEEDED
That is exactaly how W&B sheets get full of errors! Garbage in Garbage out, and the error continues, at least that way you will never be over weight since usefull load would be less!

Re: DATA NEEDED
Why not weight as it sits now, rather than subtract from a unknown weight number on a sheet of paper (W&B). Then you know the exact weight of your plane, andy IA can figure that out. My plane had had radios in & out over it's 40 years and all suntracted or added from the original Cessna numb...

Re: Beware maintenance done by Glen Forsyth
As I have asked before, Does the FAA issued license make you a good mechanic? Or does it simply make you "legally responsible for the work you just performed"? The fact is I have met many unqualified A&P's who have a FAA license in their pocket, and a few very qualified ones who don't!...

Re: Another plus for a tail wheel aircraft
When you use the links at the upper LH side of the C-150 page , they also tested a C-152, and have many more photos of water in tha tanks. Makes one wonder how many other tanks are like this.

Re: Rear Seat Removal
What happens when you consume your "substitute" weigh and balance? Does it then get transfered to the front seat location? If you consume too much do you end up with a forward CG? What happens after eight hours to this forward CG? Now that is a canundrum!
