Re: Bubble Windows on a 170'B?

Attached is a aft left looking forward of my rear and front left bubble windows. If this works I will try another picture with the flaps down (full 40°) to show the clearance.

Re: Bubble Windows on a 170'B?

Wish some one would explain how to attach pictures to these messages. It appears to be more of a problem as not many photos are added. Maybe a note under one of the headings sections.

Re: Bubble Windows on a 170'B?

I have had the rear bubble windows for 10 years. They have no interference with the flap and have about 1/4 inch clearance with full flaps. One great feature in addition to shoulder room for the rear seat passenger, is that they don't vibrate in flight like the straight window. [img]IMG_0201.JPG [/i...

Re: pilot height?

I have had the same 170B for 35 years and at 6'4" have never had a problem with height in it or any other Cessna, including a 150 as far as seat height or seat adjustment. The same is true to all of the following that I continue to fly - Boeing 737, de havilland, Beech King Air's or Bell 47, 20...

Re: hangar floor paint

We used a two part epoxy from Home Depot. Easy application, after concrete etching. Very easy floor clean-up and the flakes provide the fiction when wet.

If you need parts you might check with PECK AERO in Nova Scotia. Peckaero.com. He is usually less expensive than Kenmore.

Re: Safety Item: Resetting Circuit Breakers/Fuses

The 60 Amp Breaker was in place to protect your general electrical buss, not your Alternator. When your ADL clamp wore through your main wire it did create the warm/hot short and heat enough to start a fire, but not enough to create a dead short. You killed the field with the master or battery switc...

1/4 screws and nuts with cone washers work better and , and most plastic places carry the 1/4 MWR.
