Jr., Thanks for your insight, when I get to the hanger next time I'll take a look at the battery and grounding system of the VR....I know something is amiss, but I haven't found it YET!! I'll let you know if that's the problem...I'm beginning to develope a twitch myself just watching that bouncing a...

Re: Amp Meter Flutters

Scott, No, I haven't solved the problem, :( but I'm not getting the full swing flucuations on my amp meter as I originally did. It still flucuates from a needle width to a 1/3 swing. The flucuations only occur when the engine is running and RPM doesn't seem to have an affect. I've chased wires for a...

Robert, As you stated, JC is a busy place. I've gotten to know it over the past 2-years and the earlier the better. There is allot of use on any flyable weekend (Fri - Sun). It's amazing how many pilots and pilot groups base at JC and then hit the many other strips on day trips. We appear to be gett...

Leavenworth, WA Airport Info needed

I will going to Leavenworth, WA in the near future (Monday, July 16th)and don't see any close airports. There is a PVT strip called Johnson at Leavenwort, but I was wondering if any of you Washington folks might know of a nearby strip where a guy could land and tie down for the day....and maybe get ...

Well, I didn't to go flying the other day :( , but did the "off engine" check that George suggested and there was no fluttering when each of the various instruments were turned on... I forgot to mention that when it flutters, the amp meter, which I believe is a +30 & -30 goes both ways...
