Here is where the Church Key is used. On the new door seal attach channels. These also had numerous teeth missing over the years.

Re: Upper door frame headliner brackets
It was a combination of both. I have some more pics somewhere showing the process I will post when I find them. Its a good job to do on a warm day with the doors open and a cold adult beverage.

Re: Upper door frame headliner brackets
On my 52 the headliner retainer strips were also in bad shape. I fabricated new left and right sides and also rear strip aft of hat shelf. Tedious cutting the teeth but not bad. Enclosed are some not to good pictures.

Re: O-300 Recommended Overhaul Shops?
I see you are in Norfolk. At Winchester Airport is a Aero Engines of Winchester. I have not dealt with them but from those that have I have heard good reports. The advantage is you could deliver the engine. Have a little more control over it.

Re: Cessna Owner Advisory SEL-05-02 SID
I should have said the Cessna video on Youtube will give you a good idea of what they want. It shows areas on the list pertaining to 100 series and others. Hopefully the whole process will not get to complex.(read expensive)

If you go on YouTube and in the seach window enter Cessna SID. Look for the video uploaded from Cessna. It explains what to look for on the inspections.

Re: Control Wheel Rivets
I looked at those. I have a couple kits. The roll over set might work but I only have 4 rivets which are expensive so I would like to be sure. The rivet head will not except a Universal set or Brazier Head set. They look sort of more like a truss head. I might mail a rivet and my rollover set to Han...

Control Wheel Rivets
Does anyone have the sets for installing original type rivets in the yoke to shaft connection. The rivets are a solid steel with a hollow end that rolls over. I can get them thru Hanson Rivet but would only use them once. Maybe the club could start buying specialty tools and rent them out to members...

George
I was joking. I stated early in this thread the STC was available and even gave the STC # and everyone still questioned if the Assoc had it. The 2nd post was a jab at everyone not paying attention to my first post.

Re: 0-300B STC available?
Am I going crazy or did I not purchase the STC for installing, in the 170, the 0300B from the association. If not I have the paperwork I referenced earlier with the STC # I can sell copies of. I thought it was legit.

Re: Landing Gear Shim
I had a set of lady legs installed while sitting in the shop. I must of had the extra shims as called out in the parts book on the original install with the early legs but have misplaced them. I will use your suggestion. I figure the only way I will find them is to make another set.

Landing Gear Shim
I wanted to put the early gear back on but I might be missing something. With the early gear in place the wedges seem to be to thin. It slides up to the wedge inner radius and does nothing. I see in the parts book calling out a shim part # 0741007. Would that fix the problem and if so I have misplac...
