Re: Airworx 180HP O-300 STC
Think about it this way: at the start of the intake stroke there is no air in the cylinder, so at the end of intake the only air in the cylinder has been pulled in by the piston, and its volume is bore area times stroke. The engine breathes in multiples of displacement volume. Google "does pis...

Re: Airworx 180HP O-300 STC
Actually, taller pistons don't decrease displacement. Displacement is the volume of air that the piston pumps through the cylinder: bore area times crank throw. Clearance volume above piston travel affects compression ratio, but not displacement. So if space in the cylinder is reduced due to a tall...

John from the head of the "for what it is worth department", in the picture your nose bowl appears to be low, the center line of the spinner is not in line with the center of the cowl cooling openings.

The 300 E must have a controllable pitch prop, the left one on Gary's picture of the Beagle B.218X appears feathered.

Just watched those videos , OMG did OHS exist then ? It’s totally unbelievable how they did that process those days . Many years ago I worked in a iron ore smelter for 2 weeks . Too hard for me . I left . We had to work with full rubber type face masks for our full 8 hour shift in extreme hot condi...

Re: Risk of Potential Adverse 5G Effects on Radio Altimeters
T-Mobile and Verizon 5G is working and has been for some time. They have not experienced a controversy because they are at the other end if the frequency spectrum and do not interfere with radar altimeters. I have friends who have ATT service and while their phones have the 5G symbol on the screen t...
