Re: 15 & 30 Amp Fuses
I've talked to Hill's and they do have the correct 15-amp fuses (AGS-15) and they are sending them my way and with no shipping and restocking fees and I will return the AGC-15 fuses. Venessa at Hill's was great to work with...The AGS-15 are less than 1/2 the price ($2.50) than the AGC-15 ($6.04)...f...

Re: 15 & 30 Amp Fuses
Thanks Bruce for the info...do you have a local source for AGS fuses...like NAPA or some other auto parts stores?? I paid $4+ and $3+ plus for the one from Hill's and I won't tell you how many gallons of av gas the shipping was for 10-fuses....

15 & 30 Amp Fuses
Recently I was replacing one of the instruments in the panel and in doing so we blew a fuse (15 amp)...I got into my stash of fuses in the plane (that I had gotten at my local NAPA store) and low and behold I found out yet another thing about my '52B...The fuses are Buss AGS not the standard AGC fus...

Re: Off to Idaho
Hey Willy, Glad to hear you fellows had a good flight home...you got out just in time...just after you called boy did the skies open up here with some good snow and rain mixed...Enjoy your 206!!! Looks like I'll just have to take a short trip back to MN and see how you're treating that plane...Now t...

Re: Also Looking for a CFI
Bill,
There's a CFI here in town that may be interested in doing that, if you haven't gotten anyone else. let me know and I'll ask her...she's a good pilot and I believe she has 206 time also, I don't know why I didn't think of her before...

Re: Also Looking for a CFI
Bill,
Sounds like you're getting close...I was fueling up 04D yesterday and the 206 was in its hangar and it had this eastwardly longingly look to it...
Good Luck, wish I was a CFI, I'd take you up on your request...

Re: Recommended Modifications/Repairs for 170 Owners
George, (Bend the cotter into a 45-degree angle about 1/3-rd from the split-end and insert it up to the bend,... then straighten the pin...and finish inserting it.) This is the first time I have "read" how to properly secure a cotter pin...However, I'm a "visual" type of l...

Re: Amp Meter Flutters
Well the saga continued...not only did the amp meter keep fluttering, but the alternator was not charging the battery now...All this renewed itself about 6-months after my above post...It would charge at low RPMs and discharge during cruise flight...well finally after tinkering and having to prop st...

Re: Battery Box Maintenance
Thanks Brad & Bill for the info...I'll probably go the paint route first and then the powder coat (that's a great idea ) when I have some down time in the future...
Thanks a bunch!!

Battery Box Maintenance
I couldn't agree with you more (I love Corrosion-X the trick is to clean with baking soda, (scrape if nessary) and paint with asid resident paint, then coat with corrosion-x) it just gives another barrier for the sulferic asid to penitrate! Just got done doing some sprucing up of 04D and remembered...

Re: Winterization w/ STC'd cowl
Install some of these. They are a Cessna part. I would not "live" with low oil temps and turn my engine into a ball of rust. I've been interested in a Cessna winterization kit since I've owned 04D, but can't find where to find one and I've never seen the ones you show here... Do you have ...

Re: McCauley 7651 vs. 7653
If any member is interested in a McCauley 7651 in I have one that I can part with....It is in great shape and I replaced it with a 8043 for more my type of flying that I'm doing here in NE Oregon...But you know that even with the "43" on my stock O300, I'm still cruising at 100-110 mph gro...

Re: Cessna Supplied Pilot Seat Inertia Reel
John, I had one put in my 170B last year and from what I can see from the system they are utilizing it should work as well as any rail locking device....As one of those pilots who has had the seat slid waaaay back on takeoff  I now have both in my plane...And yes Cessna reimbursed me for the c...
