The Nov 15th update said that it was done but they’d do a matching fin/light/strobe without the ADSB.
“We will not be certifying skySensor, but we will be producing a certified starboard side matching light called skyLight in Q1.”

Re: ADS-B uavionix updates
I’m wondering about the legality of hooking up the strobes. It says if you don’t currently have strobes, stow the yellow wire. The argument is based off that and the fact that to get the strobes going you’d have to run an additional wire to a dedicated switch, which isn’t keeping with the simple plu...

Re: ADS-B uavionix updates
My Skybeacon shipped today so I’m excited to hear about others experiences with the install and test flights. I’m really happy with Uavionix so far, as they always got back to me with my questions (even on weekends) and when I mentioned I was nervous about the rebate being lost they moved me up the ...

For sure. If someone doesn’t get that feeling when paging through almost 70 years of logs....
Also, I’m in North Dallas for those other TX 170 folks.

My daughter polishing up our newest family member. 170A, 1745D. She’s got some history with some association members and I’ve already gotten to speak with one who now flys at my airline. Looking forward to some great times and digging up some history. There’s mention in the logs of law enforcement p...

Re: Charged to look at a 170 by broker
It’s missing the logs for the current engine that was installed and or overhauled in 94. Bad deal!’

Re: Charged to look at a 170 by broker
So within an hour of posting here they called back saying they magically had a full price buyer (sight unseen) and wanted to give me first right of refusal. They also would drop the charges. I don’t want to get in keyboard war or slander charge war with anyone since the guy knows someone here and ha...

Re: Charged to look at a 170 by broker
Well I can at least say don't pay anyone to see a plane. I thought it was a crazy thing to do. The cost incurred showing a plane is between its current owner and the broker. Apparently the search for a nice 170 is gonna be challenging!

Charged to look at a 170 by broker
Just wondering if this is customary, but after seeing a C170 for sale the broker sent me an invoice for nearly $400 for oil analysis, compression check and a charge for .5 of flight time. I told them not to do the tests on my behalf in very clear terms. The broker replied that they had to do it anyw...
