Re: Tie Down Length?

Kyle, This is an area that I have a bit of experience as I produce aviation tie down kits...now I'm not advertising George...only going to try and answer the posted question. ..I've found that 14' ropes work well for the majority of wing tie downs and 8' for tying tail sections down...There a...

Re: Amp Meter Flutters

Well, it's been awhile since I started looking for the culpit causing the fluttering amp. On one of the snowy days here recentely, I started looking at what kinda work was going to be envolved in installing new wing tip strobes....I had the right wing tip off and was measuring things and found a gro...

Re: Wingtip Strobes

Thanks gentlemen for the great advise....Sounds quit doable....Looks like I just found me another winter hangar project when I'm not able to fly into Hell's Canyon to do some fishing...I'll see if I can't get our local IA to sign it off and I'll do the grunt work....

Re: Wingtip Strobes

For those of us who have the original nav lights on our wing tips and want to go to the strobes w/nav lights, I've heard that you have to run a heavier wire to the new strobes the length of the wings to handle the heavier electrical load of the wingtip strobe system. Our local AI said it was bugger ...

Re: Wing rebuilding

JR, somehow I've always associated you with Washington State, but when I first got my 170B, I dinged the wing tip up on my first flight with my wife  and we sent my left wing to a gentleman in Omak, WA (Bill ??). He did a great job and found a bunch of bad work inside of the wing when he was f...

We are looking for some guidance on who to go to get the condo association bylaws written up. We have a hanger building that has 5-hangers within that we are going to condo out. I woul...
