Bruce,
Which half of the cowl inlet do you cover? I've never covered the cowl inlet, only the oil pan hole, but I'm never happy with how cool things run.

George,

Thanks for sharing. Now I have a better idea what you do when you're not posting messages on this forum

Most printer drivers will allow you to print a selection.

Select the text you want to print
Select File>Print
Select Print Selection (or something like that)
Click Print

Actually, a site admin does have some control over what ads appear in his Google AdSense ads. On BCP I have "blocked" several advertisers from appearing in my little ads column in the Google preferences. It's easy. Maybe somebody should tell the guy how to do it. I think what tripslip38 m...

There is an E copy available in PDF form in the members only section. The new one isn't there yet.
The Directory in the Members Only area is the latest, but its not a copy of the entire directory (no ads, bylaws, etc).

Technology and disk space are not the limiting issues. I've put photo albums on other websites in a few hours, and would like to do the same thing here. (Actually, I have done some here - there are some photo albums of past conventions in the Members Only area). But, there are issues that need to be...

I have a similar problem with fuel odors and have concluded its caused by leaking (Monarch) fuel caps during turbulance or when taking off with full tanks.

The fuel runs down the wing near the root and I can smell it in the cabin.

I've checked the hoses and they're not leaking.

Over the past 12 months, website advertising revenue has exceeded expenses. I don't see any reason for this not continuing unless we decide to do some redesigning of the site. So, thanks to all of you who freely contribute to these forums (especially George and Bruce) and make it of value to adverti...

You might want to check out http://www.age85.org/ . If they can get an STC for a C180, getting one for a C170 shouldn't be insurmountable. This doesn't address the cost of fuel issue, though. The days of cheap (less than $2 per gallon) fuel will never be seen again. Along with cost, we also need to ...

Maybe I missed something? I thought AIG was of out of business, and those who wanted to were transferred to Travers? :? I thought Travers was the "official" insurer of TIC170A, offering discounts to members, but I see that Avemco advertises with us. Miles Travers & Associates purchase...

I think mine could use a little of that DC-4. How about a short primer on dissassembly of the primer? Do I need to disconnect the fuel lines and remove the assemble from the panel?

Thanks!

I have a multi-probe EGT/CHT in my 55 B model. Number 5 cylinder EGT is always to first to peak when I'm leaning. It also always read the highest temperature, but I'm reluctant to quote that because the probes haven't been calibrated in a long time. My plane came from the factory with a probe in num...
