Re: Headliner Wire supports
Happy New Year to all.... Hopefully this bird will fly this year... Anyway, in the 170A IPC, figure 40, item 23 , is a bow which is 2 piece, and sets one end in the tunnel, and the other end is shown just above the rear window. All the other bows have a slot\point\hook for setting into, but on this ...

Re: Question on proper use of carb heat
On the 170A you mentioned, was it previously installed, or did you do the install?

Re: Question on proper use of carb heat
Has anyone used the Westach 2A3-1 guage and the 399W probe?

Re: Aileron Rigging
In the 170A IPC, Figure 5 , Item 18, Rod End appears as a NAS36. For the life of me , I cannot find that number listed anywhere or cross referenced to anything. Does anyone have the correct number or cross ref. for those rod ends? I am in the process of rigging the ailerons, and would like to replac...

Re: Wing Fuel tank cover panels 170A
Tim, Thanks for the info.. No pictures needed. I went back and looked at mine, and it is supposed to be as you said. I could see a faint line on the tank panel edge at the wing root, which meant it would have been under the cabin skin as you confirmed. The screw hole openings in the cabin skin are a...

That would be great if you could do that. I'm most concerned with the inbd\cabin roof seam. I'd really appreciate it ...
Thanks,

Re: Wing Fuel tank cover panels 170A
I just went to your post, (that I should have found earlier) but your cabin top skin is not like mine. Mine is not "notched" at the fwd and aft areas. The cabin roof skin runs in a straight line (fore-aft)and has "large" openings for the screw locations. It appears to be original...

Wing Fuel tank cover panels 170A
Can someone confirm the correct installation of the wing fuel tank cover panels, i.e, under the leading edge, over the outbd and trailing edges, and over the inbd\cabin roof panel? The IPC is hard to depict this. It is the inbd\cabin that concerns me the most.. The panels were off and tanks out , wh...

Re: I had a bad day in Buffalo
Tim, George,
My 170A IPC shows AN-5 and AN-6 bolts for attaching the axles to the legs. Fig 27, items 14 and 15
Are you saying they should be MS bolts like used on the vertical?

Re: The DOOR STEWARD

Does anyone have a measurement as to where the bracket should be place in order to provide maximum opening without hitting the strut? I can place ...
