Doug, I also have the parts lit and instructions along with district approval 337 dated 1988. One of the (I'll use funny) things that started all the humbug. John stated drill a 1/4" hole and FAA & Cleo said it has to be 1/4" exactly. John said use 1/4" bit and drill the &^%%&...

Just a note: what I did was drill a hole at the top center of the door and add a screw plate under the cowling. you have to remove the screw to open the door but it will not open in flight or allow a lot of movement. Ron

Not one anywhere close anymore. Paul Fornet’s was one of the biggest Cessna dealers in the nation at one time because of seaplanes. Sold and now no one in La. is even interested. So I am not sure where I would go??? Ron

Ok gents, update on the seat stop. Talked to yingling and they can invoice you and once they have the log book entry and supporting document you will be reimbursed for the cost of the parts. 1022.76 yikes!!!! Ron

gents, I have talked with every mufler shop here and no way they can bend it with the machines they have. I looked on the internet for mandrels benders and the one that would work cost right at 45 grand so it is going to have to be a big shop or a hot rod/drag car shop-where the build roll cages and...

yes but I don't recall but it was way more than he charged for the sets before. I just called a muffler shop here in Lafayette and they told me they don't have the equipment to bend it the required way?? with all the shops here one would think???? it takes a computer mandrel bending machine that ben...

I talked with Pat and he told me that his supplier/bender wanted a fortune to do this work now that it has traded hands. He also sent me the stuff to see what I could get them built for here. He is trying just not sure anyone would want to pay the price now with his new cost. just got the stuff yest...

Yep that was it so it was a 140. I jsut caught a glimps of it and saw it was taildragger. did not se the 140 on the side. still a pretty good loking 140 and sorry to see any of them go!! Ron

Otis, when I bought a baggage door they sent me a large portion of the fuselage. I deilled out the door and used the picies to mark the cut out. they are floating around somewhere- Bob Coats or maybe Ed Booth may have them- Ed may respond to this as I sent them to Bob but he does not get on the comp...

GradyB, DO NOT spray contact cleaner on it!!!!! I say that from experience, sprayed a ADF and it completely locked up lucky enough the radio shop had just removed one and I had to buy it to fill the panel. :oops: :oops: :( :( expensive learning curve. Ron
