Re: Replacing Fuses with Circuit Breakers
Do you still have them? I thought you sent them to the other fella a while back. I'll take whatever you have, sure. Just send me a PM with the details. Thanks Aryana!

Re: Replacing Fuses with Circuit Breakers
Thanks all for the replies. Yes, I am selling it, but I noticed the Landing Light fuse was bad and not knowing what kind of effort is behind it, I had to ask. Now I know, unfortunately. Bruce's reply was very vivid indeed. I think the first glob of solder to hit my face would send me off to the bad ...

Replacing Fuses with Circuit Breakers
I searched before asking, but couldn't find a specific answer: What is needed FAA-wise to replace fuses with circuit breakers? Can it be done on systems with a Generator? How time intensive is the replacement?
Thanks,
Shawn
Thanks,
Shawn

Re: Rudder Rigging
Thank you Bruce for the further explanation. I have the turnbuckle eyes on as you described. I was puzzled because I looked, just to be sure, in the parts manual and saw the discrepancy there. Panic...
Minton, the cables are new - just replaced them.

Re: Rudder Rigging
Bruce, Jim, Blueleader, Sorry if I came off a bit slanted. I guess I was in one of those moods when I read it. Thank you Bruce for the instructions. If I understand correctly, you have outlined two things: One is a test of the return springs, with the cables detached. Part two is, with cables...

Re: Rudder Rigging
Well, I thought you all new me and my circumstances...I work closely with the A&P/IA, just footsteps away. I'm sure after 1-1/2 years of this stuff he's ready to see me go, but he is always available and inspects what I do in great detail. It's not like I'm "winging it". I am sure that...

Re: Rudder Rigging
I reinstalled the rudder cable guides today - actually not all too bad, even though everything is all buttoned up. So, now I have two issues. The cable ends that attach to the turnbuckle still graze the aft skin at the back of the guide hole. Can that be improved? Will this repeated grazing eventual...

Re: Bracket, Rudder Cable Fairlead
D-ohhh! Of course they have to go on the inside! I was sure I remembered them on the outside, but couldn't Imagine how that could possibly work...geez. That's what happens when you wait too long to get things done....Thank you!

Bracket, Rudder Cable Fairlead
Good day, Would someone be able to take a snapshot, or three, of the correct configuration of the 170A rudder cables and their fairlead brackets, as noted in the parts manual attachment? The brackets are the final piece to be installed aft, and I cannot, for the life of me, remember how it all shoul...

Re: Mystery Parts
Thanks Gary, I believe you are absolutely right. So the locks straddle the aileron and flap, making them one? To what does the spring attach? To one of the triangular profiles at the leading edge of the flap/aileron? I think I put that bowl back on the gascolator before I put the fuel in...I'll have...

Mystery Parts
Does anyone know what these parts are? I believe the two long fins are a rudder lock? 0205142034.jpg 0205142034a.jpg This "cap", for a lack of a better word, seems familiar. I hope it's not vital, something I forgot to install...? 0205142034b.jpg 0205142034c.jpg Thank you for any and all i...

I just found these in the deepest recesses of the garage. Do you still need these outlined, scanned or otherwise? Hopefully not too late....
