Good day
Can someone please confirm the prop bolt torques on an 0-300A (8 bolt) for me. My bird is a 1953 170B, sn 25966, C-FZRT. In the book I have, I have found 250 inch pounds, but I seem to remember reading somewhere that there was a changeup. Any help appreciated
Thanks
Gary

antique versus classic
Thanks for the information Bill and Doug. I was under the impression as I believe a lot of people are, that it becomes an antique after a certain number of years, much like cars. Now I know and thanks again.

Collins AMR 350 Audio panel
Another question: Does anyone have a POH for the collins 350 audio panel. Having a bit of problem with mine, just want to make sure its not "operator error" before getting a techie to look at it.

Wing Spar Repair
I am having a very old (pre 1970) repair (suspect a ground loop at one time or other) redone out between the 2nd and 3rd last rib on the spar on my left wing. The structural fellow carrying out the repair is looking for the appropriate service manual to quote the "repair spec" out of. All ...

starter cable
It is the starter pull cable and just as Eric explained, mine broke in exactly the same spot. Thought it was kind of a mickey mouse arrangement going thru the hole, wrapping around and then being crimped by a nut. Eric how did you secure your bracket to the pull cable? Thanks for the supplier info G...

starter cable
I have a 53 b sn 25966. Where is the best place to buy a replacement starter cable. Cessna has quoted me $265 Canadian. Seems to me there should be something a little less expensive. If you do know and have the specifics it would be appreciated.
thanks

Ski rigging on a 170B
Does anyone know where I can get a drawing number 11R1348 showing ski rigging on 170B's. Any help anyone can give would be appreciated. I have a pair of Federal 3000's wheel skis that I used last winter but want to ensure I have correct rigging and tension etc.

Good day ski fliers. I have had my wheel skis on (federal 3000's) for the past 6 weeks or so and have done a bit of flying with them. Unfortunately (same for you Hal), the temp has been so cold I haven't been flying since Xmas. I have found that it takes a bit longer to get off and for landing, I se...

Ken See from a subsequent posting you purchased the 170 in BC. Did you get it to McMurray yet? How was that trip? In an old posting you were enquiring about hydraulic skis. I have a set of Federal 3000's that came with mine and are now installed for the winter. Hydraulic unit is hand operated with c...
