Looking for some expert advice: I have a friend who is 6' 5" and would like to get a 170. As he sits in my original seat set up its tight for him both Vertically and horizontally . What are the legal options to get more headroom or legroom? Are there other members who face this problem? Thanks ...

Re: Correct angle for pitot tube?

Fearless,
On page 16-9, figure 16-3 of the 100 series service manual you can find a template for the pitot tube contour.
Although it refers to the 172-175 models, it works well for the 170 also, I found it useful on my plane. Pm me your email and I can send you a copy if you need.

Re: Revisiting Oil Quanity Dip Sticks

Thanks George, I feel better! We were really excited when we ran across this engine since it was a first run,
we just need to put together a couple of missing items.

Re: Revisiting Oil Quanity Dip Sticks

George, Thanks for the download, however it does not address the 145 specifically, just the 300's, and I realize they are the same. The other item you mentioned was the sump number, it is possible the L is actually a miss stamped ( A ) since the last number which looks like a C is probably an 0. To ...

Revisiting Oil Quanity Dip Sticks

Members, After reading the thread regarding the Oil Dip Stick P/N's I am still at a loss. I have been trying to figure out which is the correct one for an engine we are working on. The thread described it as follows: (In short, the correct dipstick has a part number etched.stamped onto it, and for a...

Re: Owner Advisory & Logbook Entry Questions

In regard to your second question, I have understood that if you replaced an item on the engine, such as a EGT Probe or Cylinder Temp Probe ie: any item attached to the engine, that would require a engine logbook entry. However if you change an instrument associated to the operation of that engine, ...

Correct P/N for Cleveland W/B's ?

Membership: Would anyone be able to confirm the part numbers for the brake disc used in the conversion kit for the B model? The STC gives the conversion kit number 199-46, which indicates the use of the 30-63A brake and 40-97A wheels, but fails to mention the brake disc. The Cleveland Technician gui...

Re: Station Reference sheet

Gahorn,

Yep, that is the situation.....it has not been weight in years and all the additions apply, thanks, that will help me figure out some of the questions,
but I agree it time to weight the plane, I like to know exactly where I stand. I'm just too picky I guess

Re: Station Reference sheet

Blue4,

I am trying to update the the equipment list with all the items that had been installed and not documented very well, I may just have to have the aircraft
reweighed.
