+ for Spot
Just a positive note for Spot, the satellite tracking service. My Spot Messenger quit working a couple months ago. All lights blinked correctly - on/tracks/msg sent/etc. However, my wife received no bread crumbs on the computer during a couple flights outa the general ao. On the second troubleshooti...

Re: Federal Skii Prices
Yes. That annual worry/gamble starts in a couple weeks. Those skis look like an excellent idea to get the 170 out this time of year, the minimal weight difference looks worth it. I’ll study that website to understand the “one-time†feature. One cub owner is out on the lake switching from strai...

Someone is watching me...
At least that was the feeling today. While flying circles for picture taking, a C17 was often in sight or overhead. As a single or in schools, they were cruising all around the Susitna Valley. Another sunny day here in South Central Alaska, so wife & I took a relaxing flight up Susitna River, wi...

Re: Federal Skii Prices
We have a set of Landis L2500A skis on the 170, and a set of Aero 3000 on the (Greg's old) cub. Having the luck to fly several varieties of skis on cubs, I like the Aero 300 best over 2000, Landis straight, and Landis wheel penetration. Although penetration skis are used with a different intent. Tig...

Is that similar to transplanting a 20-year old athlete's heart into a 75-year old's body?

Re: Air-to-Air Photo Shoot
Nice pictures.
And thanks for the good idea. I like your idea of moving the "shooter" between planes on the same trip, instead of planning two different trips.
Would there be a little canine anxiety if you put your brown co-pilot in the other plane?

Goat is good. I lived in Houma for a year and learned all about the benfits of Nutria. I could not then, and positive I could not now, choke it down.
