... , documentation from Cessna says they did not do it .... The two angles I have are elongated and round. Neither appear to be modifications, but instead "as built". I doubt anyone but Cessna made these things and it appears they made them both ways since we have both types. And what da...

Re: Need Fig.25-24, p/n 0512108-5 Bulkhead Assembly Angle -

What makes the slotted holes unairworthy? That should always be the question. Is there insufficient edge distance? A close eyeball would easily tell whether the holes were milled. Hand drilling would not produce identical smooth holes with straight walls. ANSWER: It does not conform to "new pa...

Re: Need Fig.25-24, p/n 0512108-5 Bulkhead Assembly Angle -

It's still goes back to the issue of what approve documentation do you have for the slotted holes in the rear bracket? That is the question we have with this current airplane down in Scottsdale Arizona , documentation from Cessna says they did not do it so what field approval data can we rely on tha...

Re: Need Fig.25-24, p/n 0512108-5 Bulkhead Assembly Angle -

Did you read my post with the Cessna Structures Engineers comments about the only drawing in Cessna's possession which describes the part as only having 4 round holes?

Also stated that no S/B was found to slot the holes!

Re: Need Fig.25-24, p/n 0512108-5 Bulkhead Assembly Angle -

So I get a text from Jim Wildharber asking be if I have a good part p/n 0512108-5 Bulkhead Assembly Angle - Stabilizer attachment. I say that's really strange whats wrong with it. He says the holes are worn (slotted or egged out). I say that is really strange cause this is the second time in less t...

Re: Benham Exhaust parts

I will post some photos of the repair after I get back to the hangar. I already upgraded one area of failure, so this will not be a big issue.

Benham Exhaust parts

John Benham Exhaust System

Does anyone know where you can get any parts for this exhaust system?

Looking for two (2) of the "u-shaped" brackets that attach the pipes to the lower cross bracket?

They look similar to a muffler clamp.

Re: ****Alert**** - F+M Oil filter adapter gasket fail

I'm guessing this might be what the new gasket is made out of: http://www.garlock.com/en/product/leak-gard-style-3750 If we could verify this is the same material, making a circular die to cut out some new ones shouldn't be too hard. Easy to make harder than hell to get FAA approval! I think I have...

Re: ****Alert**** - F+M Oil filter adapter gasket fail

Here is the latest, I have left 4 voice mails on Bob's phone recorder, asking, even begging to have my oil filter adapter returned to me, all have gone unanswered. If he is having financial trouble, or legal trouble, or illness at least he could get somebody to leave a message or call. Still no adap...

Re: ****Alert**** - F+M Oil filter adapter gasket fail

Ok gentlemen, Here is the latest news on the F&M oil filter debacle. Two months ago I contacted Bob about my oil filter adapter issues 1. Adapter was purchased back in 1997. S/N: 00097. 2. The threaded male adapter never would thread into the case properly, only appx. 3 threads then would get ve...

Re: Anyone ever put L-19 Gear on a 170?

The L-19 gear does not work, the upper bend,(into the fuselage) is bent at a flatter angle because the fuselage is narrower at the gear box area, this also makes the lower bend also flatter. Installed on the C-170 makes the gear track 100" apart, I went through this when I converted my 1956 C-1...
