Re: Building a glove compartment (box)
I was able to locate what appears to be the correct box for my 53. It has what could be described as a contoured dash that makes the box and door a bit more complex than one might first think. I will try to provide photos and measurements soon as I install it. This forum and its members are greatly ...

Re: Building a glove compartment (box)
Also the box for the 53 appears to be about 8” wide and 4+” tall based on the hole in the panel where it used to be. I don’t have my parts manual handy but perhaps there is a diagram there? My bad for not being able to look there. Thanks George for the part # clarification. With that it appears avai...

Re: Building a glove compartment (box)
Bruce, Sorry for the confusion. I have the door similar to the picture johneeb posted from his 53. Yes mine is 53 170b and does match the diagram you just shared for 53 and later. Thanks.

Re: Building a glove compartment (box)
Are the dimensions for the glovebox the same for a 53 or later? If not, does anyone have those? I do have the same door as the other posted pictures for 53 but no box. Thanks.

Re: Who makes plastic Wall panel replacements
Years back I cut my own using the original as pattern. Cut from sheets of Kydex? I believe it may actually be an approved material. Very durable and easy to work with. With a little heat it can be formed to fit contour, like around heat vents. As I remember it wasn’t real cheap but turned out to be ...

Re: 26 inch Goodyears, Want Field Approval
Justin, Did you ever get a field approval for the Goodyear 26? I just got my hands on some and would like to get whatever paperwork necessary for approval. Are you running double puck brakes? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

Tailwheel Spring retainer
53 170B I need to replace Channel- Tailwheel spring retainer Part #? 0510000-31 due to hairline crack. Any suggestions for vendor? Plan to also replace main leaf. Have looked at postings on that subject. I believe mine is currently a thicker spring. Guess I'd better measure. Any problems with the in...
