Re: BAS seatbelts
I have the utility belts and keep them buckled all the time so that the shoulder straps are not dangling around, and no Velcro. No, I would not pay for the rotary buckle, no way. If you think the utility straps will be hanging loose in your plane, or that you need to Velcro them to the headliner, th...

Re: B.A.S. Inertia-Reel Shoulder Harness
I have the utility belts and I would buy them again. I leave the shoulder straps connected to the lap belt and they lay across the front seats which allows easy access to the rear seats. I did not install the Velcro to hang the shoulder straps from the ceiling. I think the Velcro is a, well not nece...

Re: Which headset ?
Finally someone who likes the David Clarks, thanks Richard. I've been leaning towards the D.C. Because I have three pairs and have had no trouble with them, and I have been happy with them. But for about $200 more I can buy the Bose. I don't know if that's worth it to me and now I need to read up on...

Re: BAS shoulder harness recommendations
I have the BAS utility harness and I would purchase it again. I never installed the Velcro. Leave the shoulder straps attached to the lap belt and the lap belt connected across the front seat. When loading into the back seat slide the front seat forward and the shoulder harness stays with the front ...

Re: best palce to buy Cleveland wheels and brakes (kit 199-
I currently have Bodell brakes and wheels. Parts are difficult to find. Therefore I may just switch to clevelands. Does any one have good pictures of Cleveland double pucks installed? Both with the wheel on and off? When I put the skis on, I take the Bodell brakes off. Can I leave the Clevelands on ...

Re: advice on landing in eastern MT prairie
I don't know how to handle a clumping grass. It may be difficult to turn that into sod without killing it and reseeding. In clumps, not mounds, maybe bush wheels run at a lower psi would help. I usually keep the 8.50s at 19psi and have run them down to 16psi. They are noticeably smoother than the 7....

Re: advice on landing in eastern MT prairie
Don't know what CRP grass is. Conservation Reserve Program. The tax payers paid us farmers to idle marginal or highly erodible land. The program started about in the early eighties and the payments have not kept up with inflation. Therefore most of the CRP land in our area is going back into produc...

Re: Getting My PPL, What will be the hardest part???
i have been dreading my check ride and oral exam. I have met all the requirements but just have a fear of not passing the test when that day comes, Do it now. Whether you think your ready or not, or that you will pass or fail, your probably right. Be positive and optimistic. I took mine with 40 or ...

Seems like an easy place to start. Why not do a compression test and either isolate the problem or eliminate the possibility?Compression test.
